These terms apply when you use Section13Check, run by CodeCasa Studios.

Document helper, not legal advice

Section13Check explains the rules on rent increases for private tenants in England as published by GOV.UK and Shelter, and prepares documents from the answers you give. It is not a law firm, does not give legal advice and does not act for you. The result depends on your answers being accurate. Check everything against your notice before you rely on it or send anything, and get advice from Shelter, Citizens Advice or a solicitor if you are unsure.

Who it is for

The service is designed for assured and assured shorthold tenancies with private landlords in England. It is not designed for social housing, regulated tenancies, or properties in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

The pack

The pack costs £5.00 (GBP), charged once via PayPal. It is delivered digitally as soon as payment is confirmed, on screen, as a PDF and by email. The tribunal's own application fee is separate and paid to the tribunal.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Liability

We take care to keep the rules accurate and up to date, but we are not responsible for decisions made by your landlord or the tribunal, or for loss caused by inaccurate answers or by missing a deadline. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the pack, except where the law does not allow this.
